Mood : swamped~

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps!.. I've had such a hectic life since my last post, I don't really know where to start ftw! =D I met people from 37 different countries, learned how to party like a rock star, became less popular ftw (as if I was ever popular to begin with), and pretty much turned into a normal student after that.. LOL

I'm currently busy with assignments and student work etc, but hey, at least I spared 10 minutes to update my cobweb filled blog right? I'll be busy again next week and will be in KL from 19 till 21st October for Silicon Valley Comes To Malaysia at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, I'm one of the Cyber Volunteers! hectic but memory filled time ahead yay! ^^

Assalamualaikum fellow Earthlings!.. how are you guys?.. I'm sure everyone is awesome and cute and handsome and sturdy and bla bla bla the list goes on.. hahaha.. point is, I'm sure everyone is doing great coz you're here reading meh blog ftw! ^^

today is the 15th of August, meaning it's the 15th day of fasting in the month of Ramadhan, meaning we're halfway to go! ^^ so to all my Muslim friends, SALAM RAMADHAN!~ takyah main mercun, nanti hilang jari korang yang comel2 tu, camana nak taip mesej wish raya kat aku? (=____=;;

so last month, on 25th and 26th of July 2011, SIFE Malaysia National Exposition was held at PWTC where 23 universities competed for the chance to represent Malaysia to SIFE World Cup which will be held in October in KLCC for the very first time woot woot!~ =D SIFE UUM came with high hopes this year, after making it into the semi finals in 2010, we were determined to make it to the finals and win the championship and bragging rights ftw!~ XD but dang, this year came with more competition, more fierce than we had hoped.. 6 new teams competed this year, each with good projects and high with enthusiasm to make a change in the community around them.. but, being a competition, there can only be one representative for WC..

this year proves to be a year where SIFE UUM re-wrote history, made a few people cry, made lots jump with joy, but most importantly, made the people we care about - CEDI officers, advisors, student alumnis, student advisors, our university, those who believed in us, our team and ourselves - proud of our achievements.. ^^ this year, we might have not won the championship, but being in the finals as the "Finalist Four" is a whole new achievement that got the whole team grinning from ear to ear..

Alhamdulillah, SIFE UUM was the 2nd Runner Up for SMNE 2011 where we manged to outshine in the Chartis League with UNITEN, UiTM and USIM for the first time in Semi's, and proceed to Finals with UTP, UMS and UMT.. all were great contenders, believe me, it was neck to neck at the finals.. but UTP's project was epically awesome that I'd be surprised if they didn't win.. and dude, their HD videos were awesome ftw!~ XD UMS was great as well, and their media impression was awesome too.. maybe SIFE UUM should have more media coverage and Miss Asia or something in the future.. LOL!~ UMT was great too, something about crabby fatty, I didn't get to see their whole presentation coz came in late due to checking out of the hotel..

so this years championship goes to SIFE Universiti Teknologi Petronas!~ congrats guys! awesome projects! make Malaysia proud!~ congratulations!~ it's great to see a new uni representing Malaysia, keep it up.. InsyaAllah SIFE UUM will be there to support you guys! ^^

1st Runner Up goes to SIFE Universiti Malaysia Sabah!~ awesome media impression, great line of presenters, awesome videos! good job guys, keep it up and help those in Sabah who need the SIFE spirit!~ ^^ congrats!

and 2nd Runner Up goes to SIFE Universiti Utara Malaysia!~ wohoooo!~~ =D I am so proud with my team, all of them!~ my presenters, even tho playful but able to handle the pressure.. hey, first times are meant to be scary, but my presenters pulled through, proud of you guys! ^^ and OMG, my advisors, my conductor, my supporters, the alumnis, helped us the presenters with their warm and encouraging smiles! you guys are the BEST!!~ and not to forget, my technical wizards, the slides were awesome, made things clearer for everyone, am really proud!

in whole, as the president of SIFE UUM, I cannot measure the level of proud I felt when people congratulated me for the team this year.. I believe, SIFE UUM could not be the way it is without the support from everyone, as it is a team effort, not mine alone.. so hear me now, SIFE UUM, I'm here because of YOU, I'm who I am because of YOU, I made a change because of YOU.. I am PROUD TO BE A UUM SIFER... my love is for you, and SIFE UUM is my family!~ I LOVE YOU GUYS TO BITS AND PIECES!~ FOREVER AND ALWAYS.....

p/s : we will be coming back stronger than ever next year, mark my words..... the championship will be ours....... for the first time.. next SIFE UUM president, make it happen!! =)

OMG, am I finally FREE??!

Assalamualaikum and hello fellow blog readers! OMG, Najmie is updating her blog!! she must be free now! let's go attack her with a bunch of questions about where and why she went away and maybe she'll faint!

yeah, DON'T do that.. and to answer the title of my blog post, NO, I'm not yet free, still have to complete 1 last assignment for this semester, then busy with another SIFE UUM project.. then it's FINAL EXAMS woot woot!~ bring out the hot chocolate drinks and insufficient sleep please! XD

sorry for the absence, I've been super duper extremely busy.. and I'm still currently busy, but felt the sudden urge to blog.. haha.. had quite a lot of activities since the last time I blogged.. first and foremost, I got myself a new freaking-super-awesome-yet-sometimes-annoying phone! up top babeh! XD

woot woot!~ it cost me a fortune, but I guess it was a good investment.. my mum wasn't too thrilled with it tho, since I could have used the money and deposited it in an account and let it give birth to more money or something.. but, oh well, it's too late to regret it now.. it's an Android weih, super epic! Froyo 2.2 and the camera is 8 mega-pixels with HD video ftw! imagine all the camewhoring I did with this babeh! LOL the most expensive item I ever bought for myself.. yosh!

anyway, up to the updates happening till now.. I greeted 2 ministers and even rode in a bus from KL to Temerloh with one of em, met foreigners from America and UK, sat at the same table with some top notch CEOs of big companies, celebrated my birthday, attended 2 grand dinner with nice dresses, and got fat again.. yeah, that's pretty much it.. all the while, trying to balance the busy life of a SIFEr in UUM as well as a regular student.. I would like to see you try doing it, it's a lot harder than it looks! don't believe me?.. ask my neglected blog ftw! XD

Ice Skating anyone?

Assalamualaikum and hello gorgeous peeps!

how's your weekend so far?.. I hope it's been awesome.. my weekend wasn't that good, I'm still recovering from my horse riding injury.. don't know what I'm talking about?.. check out the previous entry please.. (^^,)

I was looking through my pictures on Facebook, when I came across a few pictures of me at Sunway Pyramid Ice Skating rink.. and it definitely brought back memories! =D I've only been to the rink 2 times, but both has their own awesome memories.. (^^,)

this was my first time at the rink, in December last year.. skating isn't that hard for me, since I've had experience in roller blading, which is quite similar to ice skating, only it's on land, and ice skating is, well, on ice.. duhhh!~ hahaha.. I went with my friend, Kerol, but coincidently met with my friend from college, Didi!.. she's quite scared, since it's her first time skating.. she clung on to me like glue.. hehehe.. so I took her around the rink a couple of times, which she fell 3 or 4 times, I forgot.. it's not that bad I think, coz falling is a part of learning, just like I fell off my horse.. hehehe.. so I didn't manage to not fall in the skating rink, coz I did an awesome superman dive from one corner to the other.. hahaha.. that's the reason why I'm wet in the picture above.. oh well, at least I only fell once, right?.. my friend fell for more than 20 times, so yeah.. (^^,)

then the 2nd time I went to the skating rink early this year, I didn't fall!! wohooooo!~~ super awesome!.. hahaha..

I went to the rink with my SIFErs, Lee Yen and Harn Wei during our company visitation program.. we weren't really wearing the proper attire, unless if you think wearing formal to the skating rink is normal la.. hehehe.. Harn Wei was wearing a formal skirt, super cute, but apparently not safe.. she fell down and scratched her knee on the ice.. some of her skin came off, which made Lee Yen feel guilty.. ya lah, she was pulling Harn Wei to the side as she was stumbling on the ice.. Lee Yen was trying to help, but end up hurting Harn Wei, thus the guilt succumbs her.. but Harn Wei is okay with it.. hey, accidents happen, right?..

as for me, I had fun going up and down on the ice.. super cool! I'm not that good, but alhamdulillah, I didn't fall.. I can move forward but I have a problem with stopping.. haha.. anyone can teach me?.. I'm planning on going to Sunway Pyramid again this semester holidays, which would probably be in June or July.. so maybe during that time?.. what say you? (^^,)

dare to challenge yourself (the chili way)

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps!.. what's up?.. last month I helped in shooting this video for a competition, it's called 1Malaysia Innovative Tournament, or 1MIT for short..

it wasn't for UUM per say, but the whole student poly-tech/university population in Malaysia, regardless of nationality, provided they are studying in Malaysia.. shooting the video was fun, but I didn't fully comprehend the whole concept of 1MIT yet, until Mr Azim Pawanchik, the Principal Consultant of Alpha Catalyst Consulting gave his talk in the Creativity and Innovation seminar later that night..

he showed some awesome innovative ways that can be implemented in daily life and how creative students are.. this competition really offers some awesome prizes, including from big names such as AirAsiaX, Porsche, Microsoft Malaysia, Nomad Adventures and many more.. so what do the participants have to do?.. hehehe.. for that, you shall have to watch this video.. try to spot me in it, okay?.. (^^,)

so there you have it, the challenge that we have to shoot for the 1MIT2010.. so, errr, how was I?.. I look pretty cute, right?.. lol, perasan lah kau najmie!~ =P anyway, I was sick along the line of the given 2 weeks, but I did manage to form a super quick team and do a shooting for a video. I admit, we could have done better, but hey, at least we tried, right?.. (^^,) so check out my teams chili video..

and for the record, I know I look fatttttt in the horse riding pictures, so no need to point that out to me.. okay?.. okay.. (-__-;; anyway, I've seen some awesome videos from other teams as well, and what I can say is, it's a pretty stiff competition.. even though mine might not actually be the best video, but it's a submission.. so I'm pretty much cool with that.. hehehe.. oh oh, go [HERE] please.. thanks a million!.. Assalamualaikum and good day awesome peeps!.. controversial title, don't you think?.. well, there is a reason for the tittle, so read on to know about that..

but first, I would like to thank a million thanks to the committee members of SIFE UUM Exposition 2010 :- Dawson, Yi Chin, Yinhui, KC, Aevin, Aaron, Venus, Priya, Man, Jettroo, Kelvin, Amin, Nabil, Yee Xi and all SIFE UUM members who helped.. as the Project Director, I was happy beyond words when the event successfully ended last Saturday, 26th August 2010.. SIFE UUM with the collaboration of CEDI UUM has given away the Champion trophy, medals and RM1000 to the Champion team, Dutch & Dutchess.. CONGRATULATIONS! (^^,) and also congrats to the other 10 competing teams, everyone was AWESOME!.. the program wouldn't be successful without all of you!.. I'll post pictures and blog about it later, once I have them piccies in mah hands!.. wheeee!!~~ =D

okay, now on to the controversial title of this blog post.. currently, it is the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims where we fast during the day, which means no food or drinks from break of dawn till sundown.. not just that, we should also take care of our manners and behaviour during this holy month, no bad mouthing, no cursing, and obviously, NO PORN.. but sadly, not all Muslims can restrain from doing bad things, even though the devils are bound and caged.. hence, the molestation! (>~<)

since last week, I have been molested by blog readers, who come to my blog, 'My Great Life', in search of NAKED GAY GUYS AND RELATED STUFF.. what the duck right?.. the tittle of my blog isn't 'Naked Gay Guys', so what are them gay people doing in my blog??.. It's not like I post gay stuff frequently but somehow, that is what leads them to this awesome blog of mine.. pftttt!.. it's vile I tell you!.. feels like I have to clean my blog from them germs.. from Nuffnangs Analytics, I give you the main keywords that lead people to this blog.. see the top 5 keywords..

and what's up with the 'anak ikan'?.. are gays in Malaysia really that desperate?.. it's bad enough that the male population is decreasing, now they want to find more males to turn into gays and sissies?.. what the duck??.. haishhhhhhh.. stop molesting me and my blog la, it's the month of Ramadan, please REPENT.. it'll do you more good than harm.. it's only the 18th day of Ramadan, you still have a couple of days to go before the holy month ends..

Assalamualaikum and good evening dear peeps.. first and foremost, I would like to wish all the Muslims out there, Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadan and Happy Fasting!.. *(^^,) I know it's quite late to be wishing, since today is actually the 5th day of Ramadan, but heck, we have 25 more days to go!.. so who cares right?.. (^^,) and I'd also like to give a quick shout out to my Chinese friend, Yu Yinhui, for attempting to fast and actually fasted for 1 whole day!.. CONGRATULATIONS YINHUI!..

I'm pretty much sure you guys are bored with this excuse, but really, I'm really truly sorry, I have been really busy and was unable to update my blog.. been busy with student life, being a SIFEr, being a daughter, and being a friend.. fuhh, so tiring, but I enjoyed every bit of it!.. =)

ugh, talking about puke, I nearly lost my 3rd day of fasting due to an outreach programme under SIFE UUM.. long story short, I nearly vomited from the bad smell of 3 week old fish gravy covered with maggots and worms.. yuck! (>w<) the family that we helped were old people living alone in a secluded area and was recently attacked with food poisoning.. when we saw the kitchen, we knew why, hence the outreach programme..

and due to this project, I am now suffering from slight flu and fever, coughing, sore throat, a runny nose and a backache due to extensive cleaning and exposure to polluted air.. so yeah.. I'm sick.. I didn't go to class for the whole day.. but I did go to the clinic and got myself a medical leave for today.. hope I recover fast.. uhukuhuk~

pray for my health ya awesome peeps!.. and you guys should also take care of yourself.. it's the flu season, so drink lots of water during sahur and bathe in cool water before 5pm.. Insyaallah you'll be fine..

alright, I'm off.. got to get ready to give a team briefing tonight to people who want to be RM1000 richer from SIFE UUM Exposition 2010.. oh, and also breaking my fast, or Iftaar with my fellow SIFErs and committee members.. so, LATER AWESOME PEEPS~~ (^^,)

Assalamualaikum awesome peeps, good evening!.. wow, it's been a while since I updated.. been so freaking busy, that my blog has been neglected.. so pity dear blog.. ='( don't worry, I'm here to make up for lost time.. I'll share with you guys on my experience on being a DJ for UUMs very own radio, Uniutama.fm..

it was never my dream to become a DJ, I just liked to talk.. I can talk and talk nonstop, especially if there's a microphone in my hand.. =DD so what better why to train yourself to talk other than being a DJ, am I right?.. (^^,)

I was lucky to join the DJ Audition which was done early this semester by the broadcasting club in UUM.. I was a bit nervous during the audition, but Alhamdulillah, I made it trough!.. so now, meet your very own, DJ AMY from Uniutama.fm - Informasi Minda Anda!

these pictures were taken on my first day as DJ on the radio, for the Culture and Language slot.. truthfully, I was nervous as hell before I went online, but calmed myself down with songs and blab and blab non stop!.. hahaha.. being a DJ is cool and awesome!~~ =DD

during my first On Air time, my mum was there with me to give me moral support.. thanks mum!.. hence the pictures!.. if not, there would be no picture.. hehe.. =P I have been entrusted to conduct 2 slots, 'Destination' every Monday from 2pm to 3pm, and 'Culture & Language' every Thursday from 2pm to 3 pm.. on Monday I have a co-DJ, DJ Darius Kamil from Indonesia while Thursdays are done solo.. oh oh, I forgot to tell you!.. both of my slots are in English!.. ain't it COOL?.. =D

I usually do a bit of research on topics that I want to talk about during my On Air time, so that I don't sound too cocky and stumble on my words when I speak on the mic.. but if I were unable to do early research, I can just use the computer in the room to search on the internet.. cool eh?.. =) and all the songs that I play are determined by me, which usually means, quite a handful of Korean songs.. =DD

3) SIFE Information Day of SIFE UUM,

3) 1 Innovation Seminar organized by SIFE UUM where I became the MC,

4) and the not forgetting the project that I'm doing, the SIFE UUM Exposition 2010, where we are giving away RM 1000 in cash prizes!! awesome ain't it??!.. =DD

why I love my SIFE UUM family

Assalamualaikum, good evening awesome peeps!.. just a quick update.. I'm now a DJ for Uniutama.fm, a radio station for UUM peeps.. I'm DJ Amy for English slots, on air every Monday at 2 to 3pm with the title of Destination, and on air every Thursday from 2 to 3pm with the topic of Culture and Language.. for those who are not UUM peeps, fear not, you can still listen to me blab LIVE on air at that time via our website, http://uniutamafm.uum.edu.my.. I started working last Thursday, and was blur as hell for the first 10 minutes.. hhahaha.. will write a post later.. but for now........................

yesterday was a friends' birthday, Phuah Hoon Man, or also known as Macho Man.. pfttt, perasan sendiri.. =P anyway, our President, Mr Dawson planned dinner with Ah Man where he invited a lot of SIFERs, surprising the birthday boy!.. and we took up 1/3 of the Riverview Bistro at UUM Mall, filling about 10 tables with around 26 peeps!.. giler awesome!!.. so what is a birthday celebration without a cake, am I right?..

oppss, before we eat the cake, must take pictures with SIFErs first!

after photo session, birthday boy can finally make a wish and blow out the candle.. he made 4 wishes, tamak betul.. (-__-;;

then comes the SIFE UUM tradition.. the birthday boy must pick up the chocolate chip on the cake using only his mouth.. errrr, I don't think it's heading towards something good.. hhehehe..

oppsss, what did I tell you?! =DDD SIFE UUM peeps are so naughty!.. Kelvin and Dawson slammed Ah Mans face into the cake!.. hahhaha..

and now the birthday boy wears cake icing as make up to class.. =DD

so it seems like Ah Man has been bullied by his playful friends.. hahaha.. sorry Ah Man, tradition is tradition.. (^^,)

but all in all, SIFE UUM is still a happy family, and we love each other!..
