how it all went down

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps! yeah, I know, if based on my previous post, my weekend was supposed to be awesome.. if you haven't read that post, go do that first, coz this is a follow up post.. hohoho.. okay, so you're done reading? so I can continue? you sure? okay? okay!

so my first event on Saturday would've been the Reach Out Youth Volunteer Gathering at Taylor's Uni Lakeside campus where I told you I'd be meeting with Chester See.. coz he was here in Malaysia, and I soooo very much adore his voice and his sense of humour.. yeah, I know, I'm married, but a girl can still have crushes that wouldn't lead to anything too.. hahaha.. don't get get me wrong, I am extremely happy to be married, never forget that.. so where was I? oh yeah, Chester at Taylor's.. so yeah, I never made it to the event.. my husband was not feeling well, he had a slight fever coz his body was quite warm.. he slept till about 10 and he apologized coz he was unable to bring me to the event.. I was quite sad but I'll live.. and hey, the internet (especially Google) is a powerful place! check out Chester performing a new song!

oh my hubby, lapar eh? hehehe.. our next stop was the Big Bad Wolf Booksale at Mines Convention Centre.. the place was craaaaaaazy packed with people! walking an aisle trying to find good books was so hard, and I tend to peek into other peoples boxes or carrying case, just to see if I can spot any interesting books.. but honestly, even though the prices are cheaper than before, the choices just suck, flat out sucks.. they focus a lot on fiction books and stuff, not that interesting.. I spent 1 RM 50 voucher, just to have a shot at the prizes they would give to students who use their BB1M voucher.. I didn't want to waste the vouchers on books that I might never read, so hubby and I left after an hour..

we made our way to Putrajaya for the Ekspo Buku Islam and reached around 6.40pm.. there were quite a lot of choices from different companies and a few caught me and my husbands attention, so we spent RM100 in form of BB1M voucher.. plus there were discounts everywhere, so it was exciting to spend money there.. we also bought CD's of zikir and salawat to be played in the car, you know, to increase our salawat count.. the crowd wasn't that good tho, I guessed it was due to Maghrib time.. I noticed a lot more people came after 7.30pm and the place started to be a bit crowded.. it was nice to see people, especially women, wearing proper clothing that covers their aurah.. :) yeah, not all of them, but it's a start to a great change, if they stay on path, insyaAllah..

so the start of Sunday was at 10am in the morning where I was supposed to attend the Grand Opening of Muslimah Clothing Boutique at Section 7, Shah Alam.. this was a private event, and I PAID for the ticket, and I was allowed to bring another person along.. I asked my sister to come with me, and she said yes.. so Intan was supposed to take the LRT to Sri Petaling and I'd pick her up there and make our way to Shah Alam.. lull and behold, she woke up late and her sis-in-law decided to send her to the train station.. it sounds like a good plan, but not when the driver doesn't even know where the station is! OMG it was a mess! I was freaking out like crazy while my husband tried to calm me down.. I was so stressed when Intan called saying they were lost and were gonna wait at The Store somewhere in Sri Petaling.. honestly speaking, I cried just from sheer frustration (it's that time of the month anyway, soooooo.. :D)

we made it almost in time, Wardina hasn't spoken yet.. pheww!~ after checking in, we took our places at the last row on the right, near the clothes.. actually, not near the clothes, next to them.. the place was already packed with women so there wasn't any choices left anyway.. I found a jar full of these signs so I just snapped some photos while the MC was rambling on about something..

so the event layout was like the photos below.. for me everything was okay, but there were a few things that kinda went wrong that the organizers should have looked into before the event even started.. it's not that I  want to make them look bad, but this is kinda basic in any events.. so those who want to have events, take notes, don't do this..

1) the air-conditioning was not working.. people were sweating their armpits off, especially those far from the fans.. there were mothers who brought along their kids, 1 - 5 years old and they were crying because of the heat.. it was not cool man, not cool at all..

2) the "stage" was not placed on a higher platform.. those at the back (like me) were not able to see the guest speakers and it kinda bothered me.. I mean, I paid to see them, and I can't see them.. what does that say about the program to you?

3) the microphone was faulty.. throughout the whole event, from begin till the end, the mic would break up while the speaker or mc or whoever was talking on it.. I can't focus to everything they say or share, coz the mics were faulty.. is it really that hard to test the mics properly before the program started?

4) the seating arrangement was too close to each other and hard to move in and out of an aisle.. during the break, refreshments were provided which consists of marshmallow and fruits covered in chocolate, cupcakes, biscuits, lollipop, mee hoon goreng, etc.. the food were fine (sort of) but since the seating arrangements were too close to each other, it made it difficult for everyone to take the food then return back to their seats.. plus the seats were also near to the clothes, and I saw a kid hold the clothes with his dirty hands after he ate some marshmallow with chocolates.. I pity the owner of that jubah..

I met Wardina during the break, she's so cute! :) the queue to take pictures with her was so long and being a nice person, Wardina would talk to some of the people, hence making the others waiting to I took photos with her had to hold their breathes.. and it was so freaking hot, without the air conditioning and all.. but Intan sucks with cameras so my picture ended up being blur.. grrrrr!~ 

Wardina left after the break, and Fitri Aulia took over where she shared her ideas and fashion senses.. she also did a demo for shawl wearers.. it was nice and all, but honestly speaking, it was super duper hot in there.. Fitri Aulia was also sweating, you can see the sweat dripping down the sides of her face and she would wipe them away with the back of her hands while doing the demo.. 

in the afternoon around 2PM, the grand opening came to an end meaning the Tubung Labuh Carnival began.. I didn't take any photos coz it was too hot and I was unable to breath properly.. so many people, so little space to walk, still no air conditioning some more.. but I grabbed 2 blouses and a shawl that costs around RM140++ after 30% discount.. the clothes were of high quality, for that I applaud the boutique.. :)

the area at Shah Alam was filled with the boutiques and shops selling muslimah clothings, lots of choices to choose from and the place is filled with blog shops.. I saw RinaSalleh and SugarScarf at the area.. I also found out that HattaDolmat is also there.. hahaha.. so yeah, I'm planning of going there again once my pay is in later on.. hohoho..

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps! Since being a married person living in Puchong and working in Kelana Jaya, I've been trying to adjust to life on the fast lane.. being from a quiet place like Sintok Kedah and moving to the concrete jungle has it's positives and negatives, believe me!

the bad part of living in Klang Valley area is, and I'm certain metropolitan people can relate to, is the traffic jam.. my goodness, morning and evening jams are the worst, especially from residential areas to offices and vice versa in the evening.. and when someone decides to be reckless and an accident happens, the traffic can come to an almost standstill, up to 4 km long.. being stuck in a car for that amount of time can drive people mad, luckily me and my hubby travel by motorbike, so a 2 hour traffic jam would only cost us 20 to 25 minutes.. but safety wise, we're quite venerable.. and let me tell you, the drivers in my area are quite rude! especially those who change lanes 4 - 5 times from left to right to left to right to left, changing lanes without giving signals, those who give signals at the last minute, and yang suka himpit2-himpit moto taknak bagi kiteorang lepas.. jealous much? (-___-;;  another bad part is the air quality here.. my goodness, the morning air is so much filled with fumes that everyday after work, my nose would be filled with shit (you know, nose shit) from the dirty air.. not kidding.. 

but than again, there's a whole bunch of positives as well.. one of the good part is that I can go to loads of events! like for example, the Reach Out Youth Volunteer Celebration where I'm gonna get to meet the guy I blogged about last year in THIS entry.. do you know him? yes? no? it's Chester See!! he even added a note on the video he uploaded on Tuesday.. yay Chester See!

yes, my weekend plan is full, and it involves a lot of shopping! hahaha.. well, not really, maybe just a tad bit.. we'll see how, my husband will only let me buy things/clothes that I need.. he's not gonna allow me to splurge, so that's a plus point in marrying him.. hehehe.. if you guys would be going to any of the events at the specific time mentioned above and happen to see me, say HI to me and give me money.. hahahaha, just kidding! (well, not really.. =P)

OMG he's already 6 years old! I remembered like it was just yesterday that I joined his awesome advertising family.. I've been to more than one event and each and every one of them is awesome! so what's the point of denying that the NN 6th Birthday bash would be any different? coz it won't! I want to attend the Birthday Bash coz they want to play my playlist! (okay, maybe play it, if I'm invited la.. sobsob)

but fret not, I'm gonna give it a try anyway! =D

yeah, DON'T do that.. and to answer the title of my blog post, NO, I'm not yet free, still have to complete 1 last assignment for this semester, then busy with another SIFE UUM project.. then it's FINAL EXAMS woot woot!~ bring out the hot chocolate drinks and insufficient sleep please! XD

sorry for the absence, I've been super duper extremely busy.. and I'm still currently busy, but felt the sudden urge to blog.. haha.. had quite a lot of activities since the last time I blogged.. first and foremost, I got myself a new freaking-super-awesome-yet-sometimes-annoying phone! up top babeh! XD

woot woot!~ it cost me a fortune, but I guess it was a good investment.. my mum wasn't too thrilled with it tho, since I could have used the money and deposited it in an account and let it give birth to more money or something.. but, oh well, it's too late to regret it now.. it's an Android weih, super epic! Froyo 2.2 and the camera is 8 mega-pixels with HD video ftw! imagine all the camewhoring I did with this babeh! LOL the most expensive item I ever bought for myself.. yosh!

anyway, up to the updates happening till now.. I greeted 2 ministers and even rode in a bus from KL to Temerloh with one of em, met foreigners from America and UK, sat at the same table with some top notch CEOs of big companies, celebrated my birthday, attended 2 grand dinner with nice dresses, and got fat again.. yeah, that's pretty much it.. all the while, trying to balance the busy life of a SIFEr in UUM as well as a regular student.. I would like to see you try doing it, it's a lot harder than it looks! don't believe me?.. ask my neglected blog ftw! XD

future Project Alpha guest blogger or future actress?

Assalamualaikum awesome peeps, and happy Monday!.. hope you've been having a great Monday so far, but I doubt you will since you don't really like Mondays coz it signals the start to a new week and also a new day at work.. kan kan?.. =D

anyway, I wanted to blog about my trip to Penang last week, but have been a bit tied up with work, so am currently unable to, yet.. so for today, it's just a quick post.. when I came to the office this morning, all I had in mind was just FB and work.. okay, there's also food, but who doesn't think about food kan?.. plus I'm currently fasting today, so no food till after Maghrib.. hoho.. all the juicy chicken, the kuihs, the nasi, the tomyam dancing in front of me.. the smell of the aroma, fuhhhh, salivating now.. okay, running away from topic.. =P

I'm updating to inform you guys about an audition I attended today at 11am.. it's for a film or drama or something, I don't really know.. the audition was conducted by UUM's Unifilem Sdn. Bhd., I think.. but it involves acting la, I just don't know what kind and how large the production is going to be.. I auditioned for a part under the clause of 'female grown up (in the twenties)'.. I don't really have any experience with auditioning other than the Project Alpha video audition where I talked crap and dance around weirdly, so yeah.. just testing my luck and talents, if I have any.. =P

once I arrived at the office, I was told to fill in a form and memorize a few dialogs.. I read through, it's quite easy to memorize.. I played a boss who was frustrated for not being able to contact his subordinate.. yes, you read it right, I played a male character for the audition.. bahahaha!~~ =DD it was quite nerve wrecking I tell you.. there were around 5 other people that I don't know inside the studio when I was auditioning, and I was a bit nervous and all.. but I think I did a fairly good job.. I read out the lines and did some facial expression, being pissed, annoyed, worried, etc.. I did 3 takes.. the first one sitting down, 2nd was standing, 3rd was walking around being all frustrated.. I'm not going to lie.. it's hard to act when you know there's a camera recording your every move.. (-__-;;

after the 3 takes, I was asked to do a facial screening or something, I don't know what's it called.. I just sit there on the chair and do what the director tells me to do.. once he said 'Action!', I have to do all the expressions he told me to do, happy, sad, angry, nervous, worried, scared, angry, happy, worried, OMG a lot of times okay! he said it's to see my facial expression in different moods ftw!.. okay, layankan ja lah.. after that was done, he took 2 pictures of me to make a portfolio in their database.. so if I'm not lucky enough to be in the film I'm auditioning in, I might get another part in some other drama or movie that they're doing in the future.. hohoho..

the nice director asked me if I had any experience before this, so I said no, a video audition for Project Alpha does not count la people!.. he said I did a good job, so yeahh.. I'm looking forward to good news regarding this audition, maybe around this evening or tomorrow morning, since today was the last day of audition.. OMG, so nervous ftw! (>w<)

eh eh, how come your face is all scrunched up?..want to ask a question?.. sure sure, what is it?.. ohh, you want to know why I joined the audition is it?.. well, to tell you the truth, I've always wanted to be on tv, since I was a kid.. it doesn't have to be the mainstream, but just tv.. I always wondered how my face would look like on tv and would I be any good, and it so happens that an opportunity presented itself this morning, so I figured, WHAT THE HECK?.. it's never wrong to try something new, right?.. so that's what I did, I tried something new, auditioning for a part in a drama or film.. hey, it's okay even if you don't have any experience before, hence the term 'trying something new' ftw!.. =P

and yes, I don't know who the guest bloggers for Project Alpha season 3 is going to be, so quit asking me.. (-__-;;

so now I'm waiting for a call or an email from them peeps at the UUM Unifilem place.. hope it's good news, but even if it isn't, I'll cherish the audition experience forever.. (^^,)


p/s :- have you guys heard of a drama on Astro Prima called 'Aalia' or something?.. the director mentioned something about that during the audition, and I think it's somehow related.. ntah la, not sure.. oh well, let's wait!! wheee!~~ =DD

so why not sacrifice an hour of light to help cool down the Earth?..

reduce energy consumption, especially unneeded energy..

what you do can really make a difference..

Mood : not enough sleep yet still blogging

I just returned from an event organized by my Event Management class..
we did a 2 day 1 night Homestay event in Kampung Desa KEDA Ulu Legong, Baling Kedah..
it's so cool, feeling the happiness of kampung life..
I got to go to the Hotsprings, went jungle tracking, bathing in Angkat river, had a picnic with the families there, played games and activities with the kampung folks and also visited indigenous people (orang asli) and gave out donated clothing from generous UUM peeps..
I have a family now over there, abah, mak, kakak and adik..
really looking forward to visiting my family there in the near future..
but first, I'd like to thank my Event Management classmates cum teammates who made this event a successful one..
well, all except 1 person that is..
what can I say, not everyone has other peoples interest at heart..
our event wasn't a perfect one though..
it might not be the best event, but hey, the experience is all that counts!

well, truthfully, I didn't like the idea of having our event there..
I wanted to do a horse related event that generates money, you know, me loving my horses and being an entrepreneurship student and all..
hohoho..
but in the end, I really enjoyed my time at Homestay Ulu Legong..
so I want to thank my teammates, especially my project director, Ifa, for forcing me to go there!
I seriously had fun!

I really felt like all of us were a family, well, except for one person..
but hey, don't let this person bring us down ya!

this call eventually got me to KL last Saturday night..

for the best night of my life with the best 12 boys ever!!
