I'm a student again!

Assalamualaikum and hello peeps!

Who knew after almost 3 years working for Enactus Malaysia, I am now a student again! ops, wait.. Let me rephrase that.. I am now a UUM student again! hahahaha.. I furthered my Master's in Universiti Utara Malaysia Kuala Lumpur branch at Kampung Baru.. UUM Sintok is awesome and all but I don't think I can part from my husband for so long.. hahaha.. 

I started class in September, only have 3 subjects this sem which is the maximum credit hours since I am a part time student.. the great thing about studying in UUM KL is the classes are only on the weekends.. so almost all my classmates are working and studying part time here.. we have 3 semesters in 1 year and if nothing goes wrong (if I don't repeat any paper), I should finish my studies in 5 semesters.. pray for my success! ^_^

I think it's awesome to have assignments again, being a student again but that being said, I remembered why I don't like being a student in the first place.. assignments.. hahaha.. but seriously, I like it that my brain is starting to work better from reading journals and journals, and journals.. =__= there is an obvious difference to the level of intellectual discussion during class, the level of knowledge sharing from my classmates are also amazing.. I'm taking Master Science in Managerial Communication and my classmates are working for TV Al-Hijrah, Astro, Utusan, Harian Metro, and there's also a writer in the class.. their input which is direct from years of experience and knowledge is very refreshing.. they're also nice people to begin with.. Alhamdulillah, ini dinamakan rezeki.. ^_^

Assalamualaikum and hello! ^^

it's currently the final exams season in UUM and everyone is buzzing about burying their faces in books and notes.. you should pop by our Smart Reading Room at the Library and see the war preparations taking place there, LOL.. I would like to say that I'm doing that as well at the moment for my remaining 3 papers, but I'm here in front of my laptop and typing this entry for all y'all to read, am i right? =D

anyway, most of you have heard, or read about the utmost surprising and over-the-top (insert puke noises here) of me being engaged.. I would actually like to thank all my friends and family who came and also to those who wished congratulations on Facebook.. it really does mean a lot to me, so thank you everyone! ^^

Most of my friends on Facebook were surprised, and it all started with a picture a friend of mine posted on FB.. that was the instigator (LOL) to the uproar (LOL again).. some were mad coz they weren't invited to the ceremony, some were taken aback of the abruptness of everything, some were confused as I was not currently in any relationship with anyone at the moment, some were curious as to who I'm getting engaged to and some were just happy for me yay! =D 

the reason why I didn't really publish or tell everyone about my engagement on 26th of May was because I wanted it to be a surprise.. you know, just in case it didn't happen or stuff.. that and I can't afford to invite everyone and pay for the food.. TTT^TTT  my apologies to everyone.. but but buttttttt, people will get invites for the reception ceremony taking place early next year, InsyaAllah.. ^^

so on to the topic at hand, WHO IS HE? who is my fiancee? who is the dude that captured and locked my heart in a safety box? (LOL) who is this guy? that still remains to be a mystery.. =) I have actually chosen to keep secret the identity of my fiancee, at least for now.. why? CAUSE I CAN, LOL.. it's not like I want to all diva and stuff, or want to get the attention of people, but I just WANT TO.. this is my choice people, there isn't much you can do, right? (^^,)

and until recent, I didn't know that this - the identity of Mr Fiancee - was such a big issue.. I know certain people are more curious of this topic compared to others, mostly my peers in UUM.. since I have done nothing much in keeping below the radar since my first semester, most people know of my existence, particularly to whom I'm close with, especially of the opposite sex.. I admit, I have more guy friends than girl friends but I'm okay with both genders actually.. (=___=! 

close friends of mine who were present at my engagement ceremony particularly were ambushed by people who wanted to know who Mr Fiancee is.. especially two of my best friends, Hanes and Kwee Ling a.k.a Amoi.. they might or might not know who Mr Fiancee is, but do you really have to ambush and corner them? really? I mean, come on la, there are reasons why they're not giving you answers.. please stop bothering them, please? I feel bad when they come to me and say, "hey do you know this girl/guy/dude from this class/this event/this course, she/he asked me who your fiancee is.. I didn't say anything but she/he kept bothering me.."  I feel bad, seriously.. Hanes and Amoi, I'm sorry~~ TTTT^TTTT

regarding Mr Fiancee, his identity will still remain a secret, for now.. you can guess all you want, but I won't say yes and I won't say no to any of your guesses, I'm serious.. =) do you need some hints to start guessing? ^^

hint no 1 : he's Malaysian, not a foreigner.. =D

hint no 2 : he's 24 years old this year

hint no 3 : we've known each other for more than a year

hint no 4 : he's one of my best friend prior to being my fiancee

hint no 5 : he has finished his Degree level

hint no 6 : he has/was/did stay in DPP TNB, UUM

hint no 7 : he has an awesome smile.. =)

okay, enough of the hints.. I can't keep this secret forever, so no worries, you guys will know who he is, one day, not today, but one day, in the future, as in, not now.. LOL

so I'm gonna hit the books now.. my next paper is on 13th, then on 14th and the last paper for my degree level (insyaAllah) will be on 27th.. then I'm off for a short holiday in Phuket (yay!) before starting my practical in KL on 9th July.. so till the next entry, later awesome peeps! keep smiling! ^^

Life Update 2.0

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps!.. I've had such a hectic life since my last post, I don't really know where to start ftw! =D I met people from 37 different countries, learned how to party like a rock star, became less popular ftw (as if I was ever popular to begin with), and pretty much turned into a normal student after that.. LOL

I'm currently busy with assignments and student work etc, but hey, at least I spared 10 minutes to update my cobweb filled blog right? I'll be busy again next week and will be in KL from 19 till 21st October for Silicon Valley Comes To Malaysia at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, I'm one of the Cyber Volunteers! hectic but memory filled time ahead yay! ^^

Exams exams, the life of a student

Mood : hungry

Assalamualaikum and hello awesome peeps!.. don't ask me where I went or why, it's too long a story to share.. I'll get back to you about that one day, you know, if I actually find the time.. hahaha..

currently UUM is having its final exams, and of course, as a student, you're supposed to attend your exams in order to test what you've picked up and understood from your classes during the whole freaking semester.. so anyway, I'm currently taking 6 subjects; Entrepreneurial Skills and Behaviour, Franchise Management, Business Plan, Family Business, Social Science and Product and Operation Management.. I've passed the first 3 subjects, Alhamdulillah, not as bad as I thought it would be.. now waiting to answer the next 3 subjects on 20th, 23rd and 26th May..

so yeah, this is pretty much a blog post I sneaked in between my study time, you know, coz I was bored and missed talking to internet peeps.. hahaha..

and another thing I noticed was, my 1st vlog on youtube got a lot of buzz.. more negative compared to positive.. COOL HUH?? hahaha.. EPICNESS! some gave ideas and comments for me to improve my vlog, but others were just plain mean!.. but I love em anyway, coz they took their time to watch my vlog, so that's cool.. haha.. thanks webbies and youtubers!! ^^

Exams are finally over, I can live like a normal person now, no need to worry about exams anymore, well, at least till next semester!.. hahaha.. now I have to get ready to go to KL, I have a course with Yayasan Bank Rakyat from 12 till 17th, somewhere in Negeri Sembilan, called Excel Training Resorts, Lenggeng.. I hope it's gonna be awesome! wheee!~ I'm going to KL early, on 9th coz I'm going to hang out with my sisters.. hohohoh.. and meeting peeps!.. I'll still be in KL after the program ends, maybe go to Comic Fiesta at Berjaya Times Square on 18th and 19th, and cruise around till 20th or 21st, but it's not confirmed yet, depending on my money and the availability of peeps to bring me around.. hahaha.. =P

Mood : gaining weight

Assalamualaikum, hey ho awesome peeps, HI!.. how's your weekends?.. I hope it's going great.. since it is Saturday, I have been indoors today, doing assignments, revisions, finding journals for classes, etc. and was at the verge of exploding when I decided to take a break and chill in front of the TV.. ahhhh, better.. (^^,)

so I tuned in to DIVA Universal, or previously known as Hallmark, Astro channel 702, seeing fat people jumping around getting fit in Biggest Loser Asia season 2.. I mean, they are really HUGE!.. super fat, I tell you.. most of them let themselves go due to the hectics of their life, the indulgence of fat filled fast foods, and the little concern for health and fitness..

when I see them, full of fat and unfit, I reflected on myself.. I'm not really the true example of fat, but I was once chubby.. my heaviest weight was 64kg.. yes, I was once 64kg, laugh it out.. (-__-;; it's nothing to be proud of, but I just want to make a point that I was once fat, I mean chubby.. whatever.. anywayyyyyy.... I always made it a promise to NEVER let myself go to the extend to having 2 super ugly layers on myself.. you know, apart from my lady layer.. =P

so the chick in the picture above is obviously not me, what evs.. but rest assured, this will NEVER be me, InsyaAllah.. I currently weight 55kg, way along the line of normal and ideal weight for my height, 164cm.. so I'm good.. but I still want to weight my high school weight 50kg.. so I want to loose the excess 5kg.. anyone want em?.. =P

then I started getting smaller and smaller, alhamdulillah.. I don't really have much secret to my weight loss, just taking care of what you put inside your body and do some exercise at least 3 times a week, at least.. this is to keep you fit.. there's no reason of you being skinny if you're not fit, right?.. huffing and puffing just from climbing the stairs?.. oh no no, that can't happen..

so I currently weight 56kg, errrr, I added another kg from Raya celebrations, haven't shake it out of my fatty systems yet, lol!~ so for that, I shall be exercising every evening, to shake off the 5 + 1kg that I still carry.. and it's not really fun to do this stuff alone, coz I need morale support.. so you guys out there, who think they need to loose some excess baggage around the tummy or thighs, let's all get fit by EXERCISING!.. wohooooo!~~

activities to slim down yourself can be simple easy doable things like lifting mineral bottles to act as dumbells, jumping jacks, crunches, anything to get your heart rate up and get the sweat out from your body.. you don't even have to go out under the sun if you don't want to.. hohoho.. so what are you waiting for?.. get off your butts and start exercising!.. let's get FIT TOGETHER!.. wohoooooo!~~ ~\(^o^)/~

Assalamualaikum awesome peeps, good evening!.. wow, it's been a while since I updated.. been so freaking busy, that my blog has been neglected.. so pity dear blog.. ='( don't worry, I'm here to make up for lost time.. I'll share with you guys on my experience on being a DJ for UUMs very own radio, Uniutama.fm..

it was never my dream to become a DJ, I just liked to talk.. I can talk and talk nonstop, especially if there's a microphone in my hand.. =DD so what better why to train yourself to talk other than being a DJ, am I right?.. (^^,)

I was lucky to join the DJ Audition which was done early this semester by the broadcasting club in UUM.. I was a bit nervous during the audition, but Alhamdulillah, I made it trough!.. so now, meet your very own, DJ AMY from Uniutama.fm - Informasi Minda Anda!

during my first On Air time, my mum was there with me to give me moral support.. thanks mum!.. hence the pictures!.. if not, there would be no picture.. hehe.. =P I have been entrusted to conduct 2 slots, 'Destination' every Monday from 2pm to 3pm, and 'Culture & Language' every Thursday from 2pm to 3 pm.. on Monday I have a co-DJ, DJ Darius Kamil from Indonesia while Thursdays are done solo.. oh oh, I forgot to tell you!.. both of my slots are in English!.. ain't it COOL?.. =D

I usually do a bit of research on topics that I want to talk about during my On Air time, so that I don't sound too cocky and stumble on my words when I speak on the mic.. but if I were unable to do early research, I can just use the computer in the room to search on the internet.. cool eh?.. =) and all the songs that I play are determined by me, which usually means, quite a handful of Korean songs.. =DD

2) the dinner and birthday celebration of DYMM Panglima Besar Tuanku Puteri Intan Syafinaz, the daugther of the Sultan of Kedah,

3) SIFE Information Day of SIFE UUM,

3) 1 Innovation Seminar organized by SIFE UUM where I became the MC,

4) and the not forgetting the project that I'm doing, the SIFE UUM Exposition 2010, where we are giving away RM 1000 in cash prizes!! awesome ain't it??!.. =DD

40km on a horse, are you up to it?..

Assalamualaikum and good day awesome peeps!.. looks like my blog has been collecting dust, again.. so I'm here to do some cleaning, hence an UPDATE!!.. wohooo!!~~ =DD this time I'll share with you my experience at Perlis Endurance Challenge 2010 recently, on 31 July 2010, where I was the crew member, helping out the UUM Equine peeps!.. wohoooo!~~

but first and foremost, a picture of me and Baja, a long lost horse, who moved from UUM Equine to Darulaman Equine.. say hi to Baja everyone!!.. (^^,)

the venue of this endurance is Chuping, Perlis, amidst the sugar cane plantation.. but the TSAB ranch was breathtaking!.. the open fields were, WOW!.. you can see the greenery there, being in the open fields and seeing horses gallop and graze freely, is just a wonderful sight.. makes you appreciate the nature more and more.. =') weii, you don't believe me??!.. here, take a look for yourself..

here's a bit of info.. UUM Equine sent 3 representatives to the endurance challenge, UUM staff members.. they have been riding since I even started, so you can imagine the level of pro-ness they possess.. (^^,) all the riders partake in the 40km track, instead of the 80km track.. perghh, imagine going 40km on a horse through the darkness of the night and the bushes of the sugar cane plantation.. scarily adventurous, don't you think?.. (^^,)

so let me introduce you guys to the riders of UUM Equine.. first up, we have Mr Roqib Chik, a staff member from YAB office, if I'm not mistaken.. he's riding an awesome but quite jumpy horse and easily startled, Desert Storm!..

next up, a staff member from UUM Equine, Mr Mohamad Bahiyuddin bin Razali, or more commonly known as Mat Naka among the horse riding community.. he's riding the one and only, Time For'us, or Forus for short.. (^^,)

and last but not least, we have my trainer, Mr Wan Mohd Hafizam, or better known as Abg Wan.. hehehe.. he's riding the strong and bold, Prince!..

we also have 2 riders from Darulaman Equine, Mr Nur Helmi Yatus, riding Jenny and Dr Ray Nakamura, riding Lotto..

opss, but before the riders are sent out into the track, let's pray that everything goes well and everyone is safe.. the tracks are quite demanding for the riders as well as the horses..

and they're off!.. the riders were sent into the tracks at 5pm, both 40km and 80km were sent off at once.. some of the horse are so freaking awesome!!.. most were either Arab breed or Pinto, with spots and stuff.. very nice.. but they reminded me of cows.. =P

I saw loads of horses who had problems at the beginning of the challenge, some were even scared to cross the starting line.. a horse lost his horseshoe at the beginning of the race.. luckily the guys crew were there to help him..

after all the riders were on their way, the other peeps in the crew which consists of me and some UUM Equine Club members and Equine Ko-K, had nothing much to do.. so we wondered around the area and bumped into fascinating creatures.. for example, meet Rocky!.. (^^,)

he belongs to the ranch, and is a very playful and friendly puppy.. you can go and stick out your hand and he'll place him paw on yours, then lick it.. hehehe.. super nice doggy.. too bad I can't touch you.. don't want to have to cleanse myself with dirt water.. 1 experience is enough please.. (^^,)

I also met a lonely horse, locked in his stable while his friends were out cantering in the fields.. most likely he didn't pass the vet check, since all horses must be checked by the vets to ensure that they are fit to enter the endurance.. hey, we can't send sick horses into the sugar cane fields, it's dangerous for the horse and the rider..

anyway, if I'm not mistaken, his name is Masterchaff.. I don't know who the owner is tho, but the horsey looked really sad.. so I comforted him and persuaded him to smile.. hey, there's always a next time dear!.. (^^,)

I also saw more horses along the way, inside the paddocks where they roam free.. I found 3 horses who looked like they were glued to each other!.. kind of cute tho.. hehehe.. the picture was already nice, but I wanted to edit it a bit, or a lot.. hehe.. now it just looks weird.. =P like unicorns coming out from the forest of mystery.. =P

they stuck really close to each other.. must be from the same owner then..

and I also saw some dudes with killer lenses!.. abang, nak pinjam kamera boleh?.. =P

by the time we finished walking around, the 1st round of peeps were coming in from 20km worth of journey!.. giler!.. my trainer, Abg Wan was the first to arrive, followed by Abg Roqib and Mat Naka.. so you can imagine how fast they were riding, 1 hour and 20 minutes for the length of 20km.. giler!~~

so this is where the crew comes in.. after 20 minutes, each horse must go for a vet check to determine the health condition of the horse after the 20km track.. the vets check the heart rate of the horse, where it must not be higher than 56beats per minute and the horse must not have any injury, to qualify it to continue for the next 20km.. so the crew must cool down the horse by bathing it in regular and ice water, to ensure that the heart rate goes down..

but the thing you must know is, we CAN NOT wash the back of the horse, as it acts as an engine to the horse.. if you pour water on a heated car engine, the car will break down.. the same thing applies to horses, don't wash the back of the horse after a long and hard ride or the horse will get cramps and can't move.. simple as that..

so the cooling crew will wash and bathe the horse to make the heart rate drop to below than 56.. sadly, out of the 3 horses that represented UUM, only 1 horse made it through to the next round, Abg Wan and Prince.. Abg Roqibs horse, Storm, had a very high heart rate due to its jumpiness and nervousness making it unfit to continue, whereas Mat Nakas horse, Forus did not make it due to a foot injury from stumbling during the challenge..

everyone was pretty devastated that only 1 horse passed, but I guess it wasn't the time for us to shine.. we just had to hope for the best for Abg Wan and Prince, as they head out for the 2nd loop, another 20km in the dark.. and what do you know, lull and behold,

UUM EQUINE WON 1ST PLACE FOR THE 40KM TRACK!! \(^o^)/

wohooooo!~~ it seems that the other riders from other equine clubs looked down on UUM Equine coz our horses are not Arabian Breeds, we're just Thoroughbred.. they said we didn't stand a chance to win, since majority of the horse are Arabian, which is said to be the strongest breed there is.. well, we showed them huh?.. hehehe..

since it was Abg Wan who won the challenge with Prince, we decided to congratulate him with a dip in the icy waters!.. Abg Roqib, Abg Mie, Abg Saiful and Mat Naka planned among themselves and splashed Abg Wan in the waters with no mercy.. poor Abg Wan!.. hahaha.. he was soaking wet, dripping with cold icy waters, shivering from head to toe.. talk about brain freeze! =DD

all in all, I really enjoyed my time there at the ranch, even tho it was just for a few hours.. I arrived at 4.50pm, I left at 1.30am.. I learned a lot there, and I can't wait to partake in an endurance challenge one day.. so I must start training from now on, and increase my stamina to the max.. wheee!~~ =D

horse riding has always been my passion, and it will always be, insyaallah.. (^^,)

I'm in Kedah, so Sunday is a working day here, unlike the other states in Malaysia.. so I'm currently in an office, working, so they say.. yet I'm here updating my blog.. hahaha.. okay, truthfully, there's not much work to be done yet since I have to call certain people to know what my work is, and the certain people are busy with stuff thus making me unable to know what kind of work needs to be done in order to make me look busy ftw.. did you say all of that in one breath?.. hehehe.. so what did I do in the office since this morning?.. I printed some information for the boss, then when online and cam whored.. not much done really..

the quality of the laptops camera is quite low, mind you, so this is the best I can give you..

I'm sitting at this far end of the office, in a cubicle next to Nel, a practical student here.. the other workers are pretty busy typing some documents, printing stuff, organizing folders etc, unlike me.. =P I told Nel I don't know what job I have to do yet, and she laughed and said, then relax, no need to worry, you'll be busy when you're busy.. hehehe.. so yeah, I'm not going to worry my pretty little head about it yet.. eh eh, plus my boss said, since I'm a research assistant, I don't really need to come to work in the office, I can work from where ever, even the library or at home. all I need to do is punch in and punch out everyday.. so after this I can just work from home, if I am not needed in the office.. cool ain't it?.. sila jeles sekarang.. =DD

before I go, I want to wish Happy Teachers' Day to all of them awesome people who have taught me a lot since I was small.. thanks a million to my mum and dad for teaching me how to potty, how to play nice with others, and how to love.. thanks to my teachers from primary school, to my English and Maths teacher in SK Jitra who used to pinch my tummy when I'm noisy in class, may you rest in peace.. thanks to Mrs Ahmed from Sherwood Elementary School, Memphis Tennessee for coping with my lack of English when I got to the states, to all my Secondary School teachers in SMK Jitra,my BM teacher for understanding my needs as a teenager..
thanks to my lecturers in KPM Melaka for guiding me through my 3 years away from Kedah.. my mentor Puan Suraini Saiaa for being a lovable mentor to me and my friends, to Mr Salehan for appreciating my English, Puan Suryanti for being patient in teaching me Accounts, and to all the other lecturers in KPMM.. and even though I'm still new in UUM, I want to thank all the lecturers who taught me in 1st and 2nd semester.. I may have not focused too much on you while in class, but the knowledge you gave me was very valuable..

I have to wake up early tomorrow and study for my 2nd last final exam of the semester, Entrepreneurial Finance..

eh, tomorrow apa kejadah, pagi jap lagi lah..

my carry mark for this subject isn't that high, and I really have to strive to get an A..

it's gonna be a long day tomorrow, I mean today, preparation for Tuesdays exam..

I suddenly have this burning urge to own an iPhone after meeting a guy who had one..

OMG, smart gila weih!!

perghh, cair coklat dalam peti ais tengok iPhone nih..

I so badly want one..

so I went on a research frenzy on Google to find the cheapest original iPhone..

and the cheapest price, is not cheap in my book..

RM1990.90 for 8GB..

terbatuk tersedak wa cakap sama lu, but this definitely is on my wishlist..

I think to get a copycat version of iPhone would either be China iPhone or Malaysian CSL made, but I have no idea how much they cost..

and I badly want to ride my horse again..

I want to feel the wind in my face as my horse, Martina trots and canter into the sunset..

I want to go horse riding again, I so fcuking miss it..

however I am unable to due to finals and lack of money to extend my classes..

have to pay RM150 first, which I currently don't have..
