I just want to wish to everyone a Happy New Year and I hope you're able to achieve your new years resolution.. a friend of mine posted on Facebook, "what's so great about next year, it's just a reminder that I'm closer to my death".. well, she is right, but I also believe that 2013 will be a great year, mostly it means I can finish what I've set to achieve before, better myself and my soft skills, get more knowledge, and just live.. hey, it might just be another number to some people, but to me, it means I still have a chance to correct my wrong-doings, apologize to the people I did wrong to, and to continue living, as a wife to my best friend.. hehehehe.. yes yes, I'm gonna get sappy now, coz in 28 days, I'm going to be married! ya Allah, is this really happening?  =O

so I know what you're thinking, a wishlist for wedding presents? is she really that desperate? pffftt, what a lame! (okay2, please don't think of me like that) before you judge me, hear me out! grrrr..I was chatting with a friend of mine on Facebook and asked him to come to my wedding ceremony in Kedah.. our conversation went something like this..

me : dude, you HAVE to come to my wedding in February, you just gotta!

him : I'll think about it, where's your ceremony again?

me : Jitra, Kedah.. it ain't that far, it's only in Malaysia.. LOL

him : dude that's lame.. (-__-;; okay fine, I'll come.. so what do u want as a wedding present?

me : a BMW car, but we both know that's not gonna happen.. hahaha.. you can get me anything

him : be specific please, I do't want to give you something useless.. you got to give me a wedding wishlist or something..

me : a wishlist? serious? I've never heard of anyone having a wedding wishlist before..

him : just do it, then give em to me later, I got to go now.. chat later

me : okay, see ya

so ya, this wedding wishlist is for you! you better get me something from this list or I'm not giving you a slice of my wedding cake! LOL.. but in all seriousness, this wedding wishlist is a really good idea.. it serves as a guide to guests on what to get for the bride & groom for their wedding.. I wished my friends who got married previously would have given me a list so I could just buy 1 stuff from the list as my present.. it would seriously make it a lot easier for me, seriously.. but ya, here's my wishlist, things I would like to have around the house that would make me happier once I turn from a Ms. to a Mrs.. in 28 days! OMG!

1) Garment Steamer

I have always hated ironing clothes (coz I'm not ironman hahaha lame joke) so I would seriously appreciate it if someone gave this as a present.. it would help me a lot coz I would be doing ironing for my hubby soon too, A LOT of ironing.. oh the joy.. (-___-;;

2) Tefal sandwich toaster

I'm not a heavy breakfast eater and so is my future husband.. so this toaster would make it easier for me to make toast (hahaha lame joke captain obvious) in the morning before dashing off for work.. 

3) Electric Water Boiler

I like to drink hot milo sometimes and dunk some crackers with the milo and eat it as a snack so having a water boiler would be awesome. it'd be easier for me to make nescafe or tea for my hubby in the afternoon too.. 

4) Vacuum Cleaner

well, lest's be honest, this would seriously help with the house cleaning and I'd love to have a small compact one.. not much of a fan for big bulky ones..

5) Bedside Table Lamps

my future husband and I love to read books.. we bought a whole lot of books last time during Big Bad Wolf Booksale at Mines Convention Center.. we normally read at night so bedside table lamps would be awesome! and romantic too *ehem*

6) Air Purifier

after a long day at work, I'd love to come home to a sweet scent of the purified air.. it would do lots in making the house more livable as it is actually quite near to a sewage processing plant.. eh, not my current house, my future husbands house.. he warned me beforehand, so I won't die when I move in.. so help me by giving me this gift please..

7) A Knife Set

see, I like to be in the kitchen and I like to experiment and cook.. and I like to cut things.. I might not be skilled with the knife but at least with a knife set I know I have the perfect knife to cut my veggies, fish and meat and make my husbands tummy happy.. ^_^

8) Blender

so I've been watching and helping my mum in the kitchen and the blender is a tool that has been helping her cut down her cooking time.. it's seriously a must have in a kitchen, especially for busy people with jobs.. so I would really appreciate it if someone gave me one.. :)

9) Microwave Oven

I know this is kinda expensive and I'm not really sure if anyone would be generous enough to buy me this anyway.. but it is in my wishlist as it provides convenience for busy working people to eat healthy meals.. and no, microwave ovens are not only for junk food purposes, you can cook a lot of dishes with this oven.. 

10) Cookware Set

okay, I'm starting to see that most items on my wishlist has lots to do with the kitchen.. hmmm.. anyway, yeah, how am I suppose to cook if I have no pots and pans right? so this kind of presents are the best to have, especially to a new couple moving into a previously single persons house.. this is essential and would be the best present ever!

okay, so those are the things I think would help me as a Mrs. after the wedding that would benefit both me and my future husband.. there are some more that I haven't included in here coz I think it's too expensive and no one in their right mind would buy them for me, so yeah.. buttttttttt... I kinda have this 2 items that I wanna have personally.. not really meant to be shared much but I'd love you to death if you bought me these two items..

11) Nike + Fuelband

this is an awesome gadget that would help me calculate my steps, how much calories I burn and how much more I need to lose to achieve my daily goal.. and it also doubles as a watch.. it is super duper awesome and I seriously would love to have this item.. like seriously! ^^ it would totally help me to reduce my weight and keep fit..

12) A Yoga Mat

okay fine, this thing isn't really hard to find, but it's hard to find for me.. I don't really have time to go mat shopping and honestly speaking, I've been wanting this mat since 2 years ago.. not really for yoga, but more for exercise that needs me to lie down.. so yeah..

so there you have it, my wedding wishlist.. I'm not sure if you'd want to buy me anything from the list or buy me anything at all period, but at least I've given you a list to work with.. but honestly speaking, whatever you give me, I'd accept with an open heart and a sincere thank you.. I'm not that picky anyway, so why start now?.. =) and I would just be honoured to have you at my wedding, the presents is just a bonus.. your presence at my ceremony is what is important, to celebrate my happy day..

the easiest way to make a girl happy

okay, don't ask me why I'm all psyched, coz I wouldn't know.. it hasn't been a happy week, it's been hectic and all over the place.. with SIFE, assignments, mid term tests, group projects and discussions while trying to have a normal life is kinda hard to handle at once.. but I'll get through it, insyaAllah.. (^^,)

so back to the topic.. there's actually lots of ways to make a girl happy, but in my opinion, the BEST and EASIEST way is by treating her to her favourite foods.. let's say she loves eating Big Apple doughnuts, or McD, or maybe the local restaurant near your place, all you need to do to make her happy is to spend some time of your day and bring her to the place where her favourite food is located.. easy kan?.. =)

let's say your friend loves Pizzahut, and the nearest Pizzahut is 45km away, 40 minutes travel by car.. so plan a date with your friend (or better yet, surprise her) with a day out, just the two of you.. bring her to the nearest shopping mall first, or catch a movie that she's been dying to see.. don't feed her yet, let her spend her energy walking around in the shopping mall.. she can buy anything, as long as it's her own money la.. but if you want to make her extra happy, you can pay for her purchases too.. hehehe.. so once she's tired, you say, let's go home.. if she says she's hungry, tell her that you don't have time to eat coz you need to complete an errand.. well, technically you do have an errand, which is to surprise her with Pizzahut ftw!.. =D

so get in the car and start driving home.. she might be a little disappointed at first and might not want to talk to you, so be prepared for a whole lot of sulking ya.. you know how emotional we women are.. =) as you're nearing the location of Pizzahut, pretend you're suddenly really hungry and you need to eat something if not you'll die ftw.. and then discreetly mention the name of Pizzahut in the list of places you would like to stop by for a bite or two.. do this while looking at her face, okay?.. you'll see magic in the making.. hehehe.. instantly, you'll see her whole face light up and her eyes sparkle with joy and anticipation.. she'll think you're the best friend or boy friend ever.. she'll love you for it! see, I told you it's the easiest way to make a girl happy..

so what are you waiting for?.. go and make this girl below happy by taking and treating her to her favourite foods at Pizzahut! (^^,)

Assalamualaikum, good evening awesome peeps!.. I went to the swimming pool with my mum after work to vent of some kilos and frustrations.. it was my mums first time in the swimming pool, and it was fun to watch her squirm and try to learn to swim.. hahaha, sorry mummy but I know you love it.. and guess what?.. next semester, I'll enroll myself in swimming class, just to really master the art of swimming.. I know I can swim now, but my breathing is off and is not in sync with my movements.. makes me tired really fast.. so I'm saving up RM90 for classes next semester.. hohoho.. plus RM 150 for horse riding classes.. can't wait! wheee!~~ (^^,)

now back to the title of meh post.. yes, I won a contest, the Best Red Contest from Diva Darling~.. the first prize is RM200 cash!.. that's a lot, am I right?.. so I submitted a photo of me with something red and include a caption.. here's my submission for the contest..

assalamualaikum and good morning awesome peeps!.. it's a wonderful day today, so smile and be thankful you're still alive to see a Tuesday.. (^^,) I'm currently in my office, on my 3rd day of work.. 1st day of work, nothing much to do, 2nd day, I did a lot of research for my boss regarding poverty and effects of education on poor family, and today I'll continue with where I stopped yesterday.. but I thought I'd update my blog first before continuing with my research.. and no worries, I'll be online on Facebook so you can still get in touch with me there, you know, in case you miss me or something.. hehehe..

so, yesterday while talking to a friend of mine, who's into horses as I am but is wayyyy more knowledgeable about horses, he sent me video of Arabian horses on my FB profile, and it made me interested to do some searching about them.. omg, the horses were magnificent! the body, the colour, the stature, it's all to die for.. so I went online and got some really awesome pictures of Arabian horses for your eyes, my awesome blog readers, so enjoy! (^^,)

my favourite kind of horse, a white Arabian horse.. it's better if it's a stallion, so cool if I can have this horse as my own ftw! okay, day dreaming here.. (^o^)~~ or does someone out there want to give me this horse a present?..

as you can see, the nose on the Arabian horse is different from other breeds, as they have to adapt to the desert and sand.. plus their back is shorter and their body are more compact.. quoted from Wikipedia, Arabian horses have refined, wedge-shaped heads, a broad forehead, large eyes, large nostrils, and small muzzles.. most display a distinctive concave or "dished" profile.. many Arabians also have a slight forehead bulge between their eyes, called the "jibbah" by the Bedouin, that adds additional sinus capacity, believed to have helped the Arabian horse in its native dry desert climate.. another breed characteristic is an arched neck with a large, well-set windpipe set on a refined, clean throatlatch.. this structure of the poll and throatlatch was called the mitbah or mitbeh by the Bedouin, and in the best Arabians is long, allowing flexibility in the bridle and room for the windpipe..

but this black one is so majestic, the coat and fur is so shiny, and the body, OMGG really strongly built!! oh, notice the tail sticking in the air?.. it's one of the distinctive quality of Arabian horses, and it really sets them apart from other breeds.. plus, well-bred Arabians have a deep, well-angled hip and well laid-back shoulder.. most have a compact body with a short back.. some, though not all, have 5 lumbar vertebrae instead of the usual 6, and 17 rather than 18 pairs of ribs.. thus, even a small Arabian can carry a heavy rider with ease.. Arabians usually have dense, strong bone, sound feet, and good hoof walls..

Arabian horses are really the most magnificent breed there is in the world, and is the most oldest.. they are said to be hot-blooded horses, and like other hot-bloods, Arabians' sensitivity and intelligence enable quick learning and greater communication with their riders.. however, their intelligence also allows them to learn bad habits as quickly as good ones, and do not tolerate inept or abusive training practices..

some sources claim that it is more difficult to train a "hot-blooded" horse such as the Arabian, Thoroughbred, Barb or Akhal-Teke.. however, most Arabians have a natural tendency to cooperate with humans, but when treated badly, like any horse, they can become excessively nervous or anxious, though seldom become vicious unless seriously spoiled or subjected to extreme abuse.. at the other end of the spectrum, romantic myths are sometimes told about Arabian horses that give them near-divine characteristics..

now you know why I want an Arabian horse so so much.. but get one thing straight, this does not change the fact that I have and always will love Martina, my other half, who came from Argentina.. her tail might not stick up in the air when she prance around but she's just as lovable.. she's awesome too, and she'll always be first before other horses for me.. LOVE YOU MARTINA!! and no, I'm not a lesbian, please take note.. =P

I so badly want one..

so I went on a research frenzy on Google to find the cheapest original iPhone..

and the cheapest price, is not cheap in my book..

terbatuk tersedak wa cakap sama lu, but this definitely is on my wishlist..

I think to get a copycat version of iPhone would either be China iPhone or Malaysian CSL made, but I have no idea how much they cost..

I've always wanted to bungee jump, since I was young..

I find it really fascinating and blood pumping..

think about it, jumping down from more that 100 feet off the ground..

oh my god, the adrenaline pumping, the blood rushing in your body..

falling to the ground at 90 miles per hour while seeing the ground below you..

feeling the wind quickly brushing your face as you wait to be pulled back up..

the feeling of being jerked up and bouncing up and down on a piece of rope..

and dangling there, 50 feet from the ground until someone pulls you up or you fall to the ground..

wow, I really wish I can feel that..

man, the adrenaline..

it would be so freaking awesome!!!

am I right?..

at 2pm today, I went to the UUM Varsity Mall to settle some bill payments for my mum..

there's something going on there, got stalls and booths..

after I settled everything, me and Daph went to the PC Fair to look at stuff..

I was very dissapointed when I entered the hall..

I imagined that the place would be swarming with students and full of booths and stalls, but the hall wasn't full at all..

sigh..

nevertheless, me and Daph walked around anyways..

looking at the place..

since it wasn't as how I hoped it would, I didn't bother to take any pictures..

I think, the reason why it lacked in booths were because of the sudden 1 week vacation..

the supposed PC Fair date was 29th till 31st July..

I guess the other booth owners had other places to go to and couldn't stick around for 3rd till 6th August..

well, whatever it is, it was a real dissapointment for me..

there weren't much choices at all, and the students who went there weren't that many either..

I did a survey of portable hardisk and got a rough estimation of price..

160GB = RM 200

250GB = RM 260

320 GB = RM 330

500 GB = RM 375

it was effin' expensive weih!!

so not gonna buy it now..

I'm thinking of asking my lil sis to buy it in LowYatt when I have the money..

maybe I can get the 500GB for RM 290, like what Adeqq said..

certainly hoping so..

well, after buying a cooler pad for my lil sis, black ink refill for my eldest sis, and a cleaning kit for laptops, me and Daph headed back out to the car..

we were discussing whether to go to her mum's lecture on Korean culture for 2hours or watch movies at my house..

we decided to watch movies.. hehehe..

we passed the Pizza Hut stall on our way and bought some pizzas..

Daph said it was her first pizza from Pizza Hut..

apparently, they don't have Pizza Hut in French..

hohoho..

we chose take away cause we wanna eat it while watching the movie..

after purchasing other foods, we headed to the car and went home..

we decided to watch Final Destination 3..

man, it was scary..

full of blood too..

here's a question..

Which is scarier,

not knowing when you're going to die

or

knowing how you're going to die?

for me, knowing how you're gonna die is the scariest..

if I knew I was gonna die from being hit by a car, I'd be paranoid..

so scary man..

huhuhu..

neways, I added extra calories by eating the pizza, so I have to do lotsa walking to burn it tomorrow..

oh, btw, a friend from college said I looked thinner..

hahahaha..
